Vision of Mothers Union (MU)
That the development successes of the Christian Women in terms of business, domestic life, integrity and accountability will be a paradigm to be emulated by the churches and the community.
Mission of MU
MU exists to reduce poverty among Women, create an environment of gender trust, family and marital stability as well nurture and care of children in such a way that they will grow to be accountable and responsible community and family members.
Goals of MU
- To strengthen peace, love dignity, gender including rights not to be oppressed, segregated against or stigmatized
- To help other women in difficult circumstance
- To improve the reproductive, mother and child health as well as HIV/AIDS education
- To teach women income generation through art, crafts and various entrepreneurial skills
- To sensitize women on various environment protection methods and teach them Christian ethics on environmental protection
- To sensitize women in their rights including employment and inheritance rights and the rights to vote and be voted for even in the political arena
- To sensitize women on the evils and dangers of corruption
- To teach women on Christian marriage ethics and bring up children Christian faith and ethics
- To cooperate with the women MU of other countries in Christian worship, fellowship and partnership.
